Our Active sunglasses are produced with hexetate, a patented acrylic resin with superior technical and mechanical properties that allow for improved flexibility, enhanced shape memory even when exposed to high temperatures, a lighter weight, and added durability.
The Active sunglasses are constructed with CR39 polarized lenses with backside anti-reflective coating that blocks 100% of UVA/UVB rays and prevents road glare. The frames also boast our signature adjustable nose pads, rubber temple tips, and spring hinges.

Thus far, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Gold wiring complements the subtle blush tones in the translucent frame, and the shape perfectly straddles the border between the vintage Wayfarer and Aviator look, while adding some futuristic panache (after all, they are named Moon). My head isn’t large enough for the silicon tips at the temples to make contact, but the flexibility of the frame and easily-adjusted nose pads make for a stable fit, even during high-intensity training sessions. The exemplary glare-reduction doesn’t hurt, either. True to the “Minnesota nice” reputation, the Article One team responded promptly and graciously to my one question. Ever since I bought them - I've worn them for almost every run. They are sleek - and look great while running or wearing around in everyday life. When I'm running faster (like < ~5:45 pace) - there is some bounce to them. I think this is user error - but I need to figure out how to fix this. Overall, the shades are amazing. I highly recommend
